Idea Hunting (part 1)

Do you want to be a successful Blogshare ideas collector? I want to share my not-so-secret tricks to collect ideas. I will divide them into several posts.

First, why do we want to be an idea collecter? There are many reasons for that. PnP and Laila* are two unique players (I believe there are more now) who collect ideas from so many industries with a specific target: to be ready to create new artefact when a new one announced. PnP tries to collect 11,000 ideas from any industry. Why 11,000? 10,000 to create artefact, and 1,000 are for seed-raid.

Others collect ideas, especially rare ideas, because they can sell at a very profitable margin. How much profitable? Well, some top collectors are willing to pay B$ 500.000.000 for a bond of 10 ideas; a bond priced B$ 100.000.000 will be bought without much thinking. B$ 50.000.000 per idea! The most expensive idea now is around B$ 1.000.000 each. So at leat 5.000% profit. Actually profit is much more higher, because rare idea price usually is much lower, up to B$ 50.000 per idea. How do you define rare? It could be an industry which idea holder only a few (less than 10), or total ideas produced is small (less than 100.000). Some people define rare idea if it has only a few blog (less than 10). But if it has a very productive blog, then total ideas produced can be much. It is true that if an industry has a few blogs, then it might not so productive.

Now let's start with industry overview. Your main starting point is here: http://blogshares.com/ideas.totals.php. Default setting for that page is to display all industries, sorted by industry name. A page will display 500 industries. Let's change sort order to total - quantity - descending. You can see that on the top are industries with so many ideas like English, Technology, and Internet. We are not interested in them, but around page 8 you will see that the table is half empty. Industries below A S Roma and Trivia and Knowledge Games hasn't produce any ideas yet. Page 8 and several pages before contain list of rare industries. Bonds of those industries will be expensive, much profit for issuers.

Next posting will be about how to get ideas on those rare industries. Later I will write about how to make empty industries start producing ideas.
