Idea Hunting part 2: Reindex & Drop

One important key in idea hunting is to know about drop. Drops are recurring events where ideas produced by Blogshares engine starts to appear in public market. You can only buy ideas in public market if there was a drop before (or there was someone sold them). Normally drops happen around every 15 minutes. But many times, it skews, could be from 10 to 20 minutes from previous one. To know when was the last drop, you can check recent idea drops page. Then you can predict when will the next one happen.

What drives a drop in a specific industry? Reindex! Is it that simple? No, there are several things to consider. First, reindex can only be done by premium member, so if you are not one, you can't do idea hunting, at least not so easily. Second, we can reindex a blog only once in a day. Third, any blogs can only produce ideas if it has incoming link (from blogs which were already registered into Blogshares). Fourth condition is that a blog can only produce ideas in 5 industries it has voted into. Those 5 industries are selected from highest vote value.
