Lately, several rare-idea industries which initially drove idea price down seems to be rebounced. Might need some more time to confirm this.

New Math Effect on Rare Idea Hunting

My previous posting about new strategy for new math is wrong. At least it won't be applicable for 'new industries', because (almost ?) every new industries which just started to produce using new math were declining. Their starting price is higher than old math, in the range 200-500k, but afterward, price decreasing. This will make new industry hunting very, very uninteresting. It is safer to get drop from new industries later than first, because someone who get the first drop will take loss most.

But fortunately my idea of spread reindex is very relevant to get the most profit from the new math. However, the detail is irrelevant to this blog :(

New Strategy for New Math

After the new math, I've been thinking of a strategy to maximize our profit. This strategy depends on new industries, because some idea prices can gain 100% or more each drop if they are rare. Here are the steps:

1. find an industry with no production
2. find appropriate blogs for that industry, don't vote yet
3. reindex those blogs to get up-to-date valuation and links (incoming and outgoing links are both important!)
4. vote, reindex, and grab ideas starting from the highest valuation; don't reindex all blogs in one drop, but spread them into several ones
5. profit!

Why step 4? Say, you get 1000 ideas priced 100k each from first round. The price will be increased ~100% on second, third, fourth, ... rounds. So if you can make 5 rounds, your initial purchase has developed ~500%. Interesting? Let's try!

Last-Drop Check Changed

To check last drop you can't use industries.trading.php now, but at least idea_drops.php is more up-to-date now, delayed only 1 minute from 5 before.
